Community Market and Community Kitchen

Our doors are now open, please bring small deliveries for the Kitchen or Market to the first floor and speak to the receptionist. IFC can accept larger grocery and other donations Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm at our loading dock at the rear of the building. Please access by entrance between 201 and 203 W Weaver St. in Carrboro (between El Centro Hispano and Mosaic, formerly Provence).  If you have any questions, please call 919-929-6380, x2000 ahead of drop off.

  1. Online food purchase with delivery to IFC
  2. Shop in-person for the items our Market and Kitchen need by downloading and/or printing our updated grocery list.
  3. Items for our new shower program: razors, soap, travel size shampoo, shower caps, towels, travel size lotion.
  4. Meals for IFC Commons should serve 50-70 people for lunch and about 30 people for dinner. Please contact Kristin Lavergne for all of the details at 919.929.6380 x2021.

WE CANNOT ACCEPT:

  1. Expired food or food with alcohol
  2. Medications, medical supplies, or clothes.
  3. Please take used clothing items to CommunityWorx Thrift Shop (formerly PTA Thrift Shop), as residents receive vouchers for free clothing there.

Community House Shelter for Men

  1. Online purchase of household and clothing items with delivery to IFC.
  2. Meals for Community House should serve about 52 people. Please contact Ka'Tiera Truett to schedule delivery and discuss any and all details at 919.929.6380 x3013.
