For more than 60 years, IFC has counted on community to respond to the effects and confront the causes of poverty in Orange County. Every meal, every bag of groceries, every warm bed, and every step toward stable housing is made possible by people showing up for one another—volunteers, staff, donors, faith communities, and neighbors who believe in dignity for all.
Even as need grows, federal and state funding for food and housing programs is not only shrinking but is fundamentally changing. This isn’t just a funding challenge—it’s a community challenge. And at IFC, we meet community challenges together.
IFC has historically been powered by local grassroots contributions, which currently fund over 50% of our mission. To sustain our current work and to meet rising demand for our programs and services, IFC must increase private support by 35%—from $1.5 to $2.2 million—within the next fiscal year. This spring, we are launching a year-long effort to ask our community to rise up and meet this moment with us. We invite you, in this season of hope and renewal, to grow with us so that more of our neighbors can move from surviving to thriving.
A gift of any amount helps keep meals served and our community spaces safe and maintained. When many neighbors lean in together, our collective impact grows.
Thank you for being part of the community that sustains this work. Your giving—alongside over 1,200 other community members—has long been the backbone of IFC. Because people like you show up with what they can, when they can, our neighbors know they are not alone.
