IFC is powered by community!
Ways to Give
Over half of IFC's funding comes from community members who believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. You can support IFC through monthly giving, planned giving, retirement distributions, donor-advised funds, gifts of stock/securities, workplace giving, and in-kind donations.
Inter-Faith Council for Social Service (IFC) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and your donation is tax deductible. EIN 59-1224041.

In May 2026, IFC launched a year-long effort to grow private giving by 35% to meet rising needs for food, shelter, and stable housing across Orange County.
Give Monthly: Join IFC’s Solidarity Circle!
Recurring monthly contributions provide dependable support that ensures neighbors facing hardship can access resources year-round, creating the stable foundation that makes lasting change possible.
Together, 172 donors in IFC’s Solidarity Circle contribute more than $10,720 each month. Now, that’s the power of community!
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
Contributions to a DAF are immediately tax deductible, and you can recommend recurring grants to IFC over time. You may also designate IFC as a beneficiary of a DAF, establishing a future legacy gift. Talk to your DAF manager about directing a gift to IFC today!
Bequests: Leave a Legacy of Community Care
By including IFC in your will or estate plans, you help ensure that neighbors facing hardship will find food, shelter, and support, and sustain IFC’s generational commitment to confront the underlying causes of poverty in our community.
You may choose to:
- Include IFC in your will or revocable (living) trust.
- Designate IFC as a primary or contingent beneficiary of a retirement account, donor advised fund, or life insurance policy. You can conveniently complete a beneficiary designation form provided by your account administrator, often accessible online.
Consult with your financial or legal advisor for specific information and advice relative to your goals. Please let IFC know about your plans by completing a non-binding IFC Legacy Gift Information Form so that we may ensure your gift is used according to your wishes.
Gifts from Retirement Accounts
Funds from an IRA or 401k can be among the most tax-efficient gifts to share with IFC. Donating from these accounts can avoid income tax for you or your heirs, and IFC is able to use 100% of the gift value to support our community.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): In tax year 2026, if you are age 70 ½ or older, you may transfer up to $111,000 from your IRA directly to IFC. Contact your brokerage to make a direct transfer, so you may avoid or defer taxable income.
If you are at least 73 years old, these gifts also help satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
Workplace Giving & Matching Gifts
Many companies offer a matching gift programs and workplace giving campaigns. IFC supporters double their impact through employers like Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, IBM, and more! Ask your employer about matching gift options today!
