Sept. 12 Weather update - 8 a.m.

 

Thank you to so many of you who have already brought supplies or reached out to offer support to IFC members and residents now and in the coming days. As always, the shelters will remain open, and the latest information on openings/closings at other IFC locations will be available on our website and via Facebook and Twitter.

Community House shelter for men - 1315 MLK Jr. Boulevard, Chapel Hill
HomeStart shelter for women and families - 2505 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill
Community House and HomeStart will remain open. We anticipate that inclement weather cots at both locations will be full. Community House provides shelter for 52 men and up to 17 additional guests; HomeStart provides shelter for 14 women, 10 families and up to 3 additional guests.

Thursday and Friday appointments were rescheduled to Tuesday and Wednesday into evening hours, in order to accommodate emergency drop-ins on Thursday and Friday, WEATHER PERMITTING. Please refer to the website or call for the latest on whether this location is open.
