RSVVP Ten Percent Pledge

Dear Fellow Restaurateur,
When the Six-Day War started in 1967, I was seven years old.  I lived in a refugee camp near the city of Nablus called Rafedya.  Living there helped me see how community support is so important to those in need.  It also made clear to me how dedication to the community is necessary to live a fulfilled life.

Tuesday, November 14 is the 29th annual Restaurants Sharing 10 Percent Day (RSVVP), and I invite you to join me in support of IFC food programs. Mediterranean Deli has participated every year since I opened my restaurant in 1992 – this will be our 26th year.

The money raised supports IFC’s Community Kitchen and Food Pantry, which make sure that our individuals and families in need can eat a warm meal and fill their pantry with groceries. Our community has raised more than $500,000 to relieve hunger since RSVVP started in 1989.

How does RSVVP Day work?
Restauranteurs who participate donate 10 percent of our gross receipts for the day to IFC. Your contribution is tax-deductible.  RSVVP has a large and loyal following, and IFC publicizes RSVVP through print media, radio, and social media to recognize your contribution and bring in extra business for you. Whether this is your first year or your 29th, I encourage you to support this community effort to feed our neighbors.

With thanks,

Mediterranean Deli and Catering
