From now until July 25, Glasshalfull
is conducting a food drive to help the IFC feed the
hungry in our community. Lunch or dinner patrons of
the restaurant who make a food donation can enter
a weekly drawing to win a $25 gift certificate for
the wine shop and restaurant.
IFC staff and volunteers thank our neighbors at Glasshalfull
for remembering that the current economic downturn
has been particularly paralyzing for those who have
recently lost their jobs and for those work too hard
for too little and ultimately must depend on IFC programs.
The
IFC Food Pantry is facing unprecedented demand for
emergency food assistance,
a 33.5 percent increase from last year.
