Community Service and Service Learning Opportunities

Currently, we have these opportunities available for people looking to satisfy service learning or community service requirements:
Conduct a Food/Personal Hygiene Drive: We are ALWAYS in need of people who are willing to help us
to bulk up our food and personal care items. You can be as creative as you would like, and you can read
about some ideas here. Another idea is to print off
this template, modify it to your taste, and put it on
your neighbors' doors. You can then collect the items from their doorstep on the specified day, and bring
them to the appropriate IFC locations. Conducting these drives can be counted for service learning hours,
can be done with people of any age and can be done with groups. See our Essential Needs
General Kitchen Helper: Paul Eberhart, our Kitchen Coordinator, would like Community Service help to
do various tasks around the kitchen, between the hours of 9am-1pm Monday-Friday only. These tasks
include: washing dishes, sorting food, cleaning tables, meal monitoring, making copies or other miscellaneous
tasks that may arise. No need to call; just show up at Community House at 100 W. Rosemary St. and ask to
speak to Paul Eberhart or be put to work.
