Inter-Faith Council for Social Service

Thank you for your support!

Dear Friends,

I would like to thank everyone who made a contribution to the Inter-Faith Council during our 2013 fall campaign.  Because of the support you offered, we were able to make our $100,000 Stewards Fund match by the deadline of December 31, 2013.  In addition, you helped us make budget for the month of December, which was no small feat this year.

We are especially grateful to those of you who made operational gifts this year.  Many of you had already made contributions to the New Community House capital campaign, and then we were back asking for operational support on top of that.

As an update on the capital campaign, we have now reached the stage where we are trying to fill the final gap.  We have raised $4,500,000 of the $5,760,000 campaign total.  We have several fairly large requests we are still working on which will help, but not complete, filling that gap.  If you know of sources you think we may have missed, please let me know and I will be happy to reach out to them.  Thanks to a grant from Rep. David Price’s office, the land has now been cleared and graded and is ready for a spring start to building.

After 28 years in temporary quarters we are so very close to getting a permanent home for the homeless men in town.  We will continue working on raising the needed funds to make that a reality.  We have come such a long way that we have got to believe we will find the rest of the money needed.

Again, thanks to all of you who support us in whatever fashion you can.  We can only continue this work with your backing.

John W. Dorward, IFC Executive Director
